FVS Weekly Nr. 48

Dear Flexible Visual System Designers,

Before I start writing this newsletter I want to share with you how happy I am that people became more active on Discord. This is so important for all of us!

I finally found some time to write again. If you have seen one of my last lectures in Manchester, Barcelona, or Vilanova, you know that I started a new job at the beginning of this year. Apart from working on FVS and TwoPoints.Net, I am the Visual Conversation Design Leadat the not-for-profit organization Dark Matter Laboratories. https://darkmatterlabs.org/Team

You might ask yourself what Visual Conversation Design is and to be honest I am still asking this myself too. In this article, I am sharing with you what I consider today as the 10 key qualities of good Conversational Design:  https://flexiblevisualsystems.info/resources/conversationaldesign/

I am still unlearning non-conversational strategies and learning (and creating) conversational design strategies and am very much interested in how YOU stimulate conversations through design. I am talking about synchronized, person-to-person conversations, as well as asynchronous conversations through websites, books, exhibitions, etc., and collaborative software like Miro, Figma, Google Docs, Slides, etc. Which ways did you find to start conversations?

Have a great week!
Martin

P.S.: I am going to send today at 3 pm CET a link to a Flipped Classroom session call to my Super Supporters and going to stay for one hour on the call. Drop by if you want to have a chat. Looking forward. 🙂 If you do not have the time, no worries. I am doing one of these every month.
