Hi Friends,
I know our FVS Meetup is long overdue, and it is a bit weird to invite you to a different meetup I am hosting, but hey, you might be interested, and to be honest, it would make me happy to see you. 🙂
This Monday, at 2 pm CET, I am hosting a meetup for Life-Ennobling Design, an initiative I started with the economist Emily Harris at Dark Matter Labs. It is only our second meetup. I will talk about what we are doing and will be doing, but the rest of the hour is for the community and what they are concerned about.
I have spoken to you in the past about my work at Dark Matter Labs, and I want to bring everything I learned back to the FVS Community for two reasons:
1. Systems Design leads to Systems Thinking, which is the foundation of all we do at Dark Matter Labs. The World Economic Forum considers Systems Thinking as one of the key skills for the next decade, because we live in times of systemic problems.
2. There is still a bridge to be built between the design world and the non-design world. Navel-gazing design won’t bring us anywhere. If we want to have an impact, we need to learn to be truly interdisciplinary.
