Flexible System Designers! We were invited by 36 Days of Type to design the number “9”. Let’s use any imaginable program, coding language or tool to explore all possibilities a 9-module grid (3×3) gives us. Let’s break the internet!

Here are some examples how you could use the 9-module (3×3) grid. Feel free to use more than two different components. We are looking forward with which surprising solutions you will come up!

Assignment: Draw the number “9” on a 9-module grid. You can use any program, tool or programming language you like. You can do something static or animated. You can work digital or analog. You can use any color, material or texture. The only restriction is: Your number has to be designed with a 9-module grid.
Deadline: Upload your number “9” until the 31st of March to this dropbox folder. Make sure to give your file the name of your instagram handle, so we can tag you.

Selection: The 36 Days of Type and Flexible Visual Systems teams will review your contribution and upload on the 11th of April the best of the best.
